The Alliance Franҫaise de Ballarat offers three levels of language classes from complete beginners to Advance, across four terms of six weeks each. 

Classes are conducted by experienced tutors on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings at the Eastwood Leisure Complex, 20 Eastwood Street, Ballarat.  Any level may be repeated, with the teacher’s consent, by those wishing to consolidate their knowledge. Classes depend on reaching the minimum class numbers.

All students may be required to purchase a textbook, which can be arranged through the Alliance Franҫaise de Ballarat.

Class fees: Fees are approximately $25/hour and at this stage we only excepting people wishing to learn French over the age of 18. Students will have complimentary membership of Alliance Franҫaise de Ballarat while enrolled for classes.   Currently there are three levels of French offered.

This course is for complete beginners.  Please note that it is a sequential course which means you need to enrol at the start of the year. If you have a slight knowledge of French, it may be possible to join at a later stage, subject to the teacher’s consent. 

This course is for those who have completed at least a year at the absolute beginner's stage or who have some basic knowledge of French, but feel they need a refreshment of the language before they can progress.

This course is for those continuing to expand their knowledge of French. You need to have a good knowledge of the basics of the language and be able to conduct a reasonable conversation with the support of the tutor.
