2026 Term dates (approximate, subject to change)

 Term 1:   Saturday classes  from 21st February to 28th March (6weeks)
                    Wednesday evening classes from 11th February to 22nd March (6 weeks) 


Term 2:  Saturday classes from 2nd May to 6th June (6 weeks)
                   Wednesday classes from 15th April to 6th May (4 weeks) 


Term 3:   Saturday classes from 25th July to 29th August (6 weeks)
                   Wednesday evening classes from 12th August to 16th September (6 weeks) 


Term 4:  Saturday classes from 17th October to 7th November (4weeks)
                  Wednesday evening classes from 14th October to 18th November (6weeks) 


We hope to offer an Absolute Beginner’s class from second term, depending on demand. 

It would be sequential, so students need to enrol at the start of the course. 


Classes are run by our wonderful tutors:
Dr Alastair Hurst (Saturday classes)
Min Myers (Wednesday classes)

WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY CLASSES

Classes are conducted on Wednesday evenings (for near beginners) and Saturday mornings (continuing beginners and advanced). 


Classes are conducted at the Wendouree Community Centre, in the Banksia Room. 

This centre is located at 12 Holly Grove, Wendouree 3355. There is ample parking.


Wednesday sessions are held at 5:45 - 7:15 pm
Saturday sessions are held from:  9:30 - 10:30 am (advanced classes)
                                                                     10:45 am - 12:15 pm (continuing beginners) 


Classes can only be offered depending on reaching minimum numbers. All students may be required to purchase a text book. 


Class fees: Fees are approximately $25 per hour. We can only accept students over 18. 

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER

This course will hopefully be run from second term and is intended for those with no knowledge of French. As it will be a sequential course, it is necessary to enrol at the start of the course. 

NEAR BEGINNERS

 This course  is designed for those with at least a year of French study. 

CONTINUING BEGINNERS

This course is for those who have some basic knowledge of the French language and have completed at least two years of study. 

ADVANCED

This course is for those continuing to expand their knowledge of French. You need a good knowledge of the basics of the French language and an ability to contribute to the class in French.
